Solid Hardwood
Real hardwood construction with non-toxic finishes. Not MDF, not particleboard, the kind of furniture that survives three generations of kids.
Handed-down durability
Daycare-proven since 1992. Built to take everyday abuse and still look good enough to pass down to grandkids.
Built since 1992
Designed and finished by the Ernst family, a 34-year family business. Every piece ships straight from the Ernst family workshop.
Activity tables are the workhorse of the Nilo lineup. Solid hardwood, family-run since 1992. Sized for kids ages two through ten, with optional taller leg sets that turn the same table into a homework desk at fourteen and a college-projects bench at nineteen.
Owners use these tables for Lego at four, train sets at six, school projects at ten, puzzles at fourteen. The framing holes accept Slide Hammer 'N Nails, Nilo Jax, Zoob, Fiddlestix, Brio-Mec, plus crayons and markers. The cleaner no-holes version is the same table without the accessory ports, pick whichever fits how your kid plays.
Activity Table Questions
Quick answers before you choose your table.
What makes Nilo activity tables different from cheaper kids' tables?
Nilo tables are made with real hardwood and built for long-term daily use. They are designed to handle climbing, crafts, toys, train layouts, spills, and years of play without feeling disposable.
Are these tables good for classrooms or daycares?
Yes. Nilo tables are used by families, schools, daycares, and childcare spaces because they are sturdy, simple to clean, and designed for repeated daily use.
Which size should I choose?
Choose a smaller table for tighter spaces, bedrooms, or one to two children. Choose a larger table if you want more room for train sets, multiple kids, classroom use, or bigger play setups.
Who makes Nilo tables?
Nilo is a family-run business, designed by the Ernst family and operating since 1992. Tables are hand-finished with kid-safe non-toxic materials and built from real hardwood for years of daily use.
What if a part is damaged when it arrives?
We stand behind every Nilo. If a part arrives damaged, we replace it free. These tables are built so well that families regularly pass them down between siblings and to the next generation.
Built once. Played on for years.
Choose a hardwood activity table made for the way kids actually play, not the way product photos pretend they play.
