★★★★★ “The packaging was wonderful and held up against the shipping company, which that in itself is a feat.” , Connie, verified buyer
A solid hardwood gaming table sized for board games, RPGs, and puzzles. 32″ x 48″ recessed vault, seats six, family-run in Vista, since 1992.

This is the entry-tier of Nilo’s gaming line. A 32″ x 48″ vault is the right size for most published board games, a four-to-six player D&D session, or a 1,000-piece puzzle without overflow.
Frame. 5″ thick solid hardwood, dado-jointed. The dado groove sandwiches the tabletop into the frame for rigidity. We have load-tested the tabletop to over 400 lb without failure. We do not recommend putting that much weight on it, but the headroom is there.
Tabletop. Double-sided. Slide it out, flip it over, slide it back in. New surface. The recess is 1 1/4″ deep, sized to hold dice and small game components without letting them migrate off the edge.
Finish. Solvent-based polyurethane, fully cured before the table ships. Polyurethane is the same finish used on hardwood floors and dining tables. Once cured, it holds up to spills, scrubbing, and direct sunlight without yellowing. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Family-run since 1992. The Ernst family has been finishing and quality-checking Nilo tables in their Vista, California workshop for 34 years. Final assembly, finish, and inspection all happen in Vista.
The vault is the defining feature of a board gaming table. A flat dining surface lets dice roll off, cards slide onto the floor, and puzzle pieces disappear under the rug. The 1 1/4″ recess on the Nilo Game Table contains all of that and gives the felt mat a place to sit flush.
We have tested vault depths from 1/2″ to 3″ across the gaming line. 1 1/4″ is the right balance for most board games and puzzles: deep enough to contain components, shallow enough that you are not reaching down into a pit.
Two finishes: natural clear coat (shows the wood grain) or dark walnut (matches darker game-room furniture). Same price either way. Pick by what fits your room.
Built around the same frame:
The difference between a dining table and a board gaming table is the recessed vault. The recess keeps dice, cards, miniatures, and puzzle pieces on the table instead of in your lap or on the floor. Add a felt mat and cards slide cleanly across the surface, picking them up gets easier, and the table sounds quieter when components hit it.
The Nilo Game Table is the entry-tier of our gaming line. If you mainly play published board games, run weekly RPG sessions, or work on puzzles, this size handles it.

I was looking around for an inexpensive, smaller game table for our loft area and was having no luck cobbling stuff together when I stumbled on the Nilo Gamer Table. I only wish I had found it sooner. Made from good material (solid edge glued boards) and very sturdy. Everything went together in about 30-45 minutes with most of the time spent tightening bolts down. I was worried that the dark walnut stain might scratch easily but so far, it’s held up really well. I got it with cup holders and flip board and the metal hooks have felt padding all along the insides so you don’t scratch your side rails , a real nice touch.
The felt mat is good quality , easy to pick up cards, roll dice, etc. If you held me down and made me whine about something, I wish it was 36″x48″ instead of 32″x48″ so it would accommodate some popular aftermarket playmats that are out there but the play area is perfect for all but the largest games. Can’t recommend it enough!
